On 23 s.d 25 June 2025 UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang held the 1st Annual Conference of Apptis 2025 National Seminar, National Workshop, and call for papers with themes “the future of the tertiary library in the midst of the budget efficiency: adaptation, innovation & collaboration”. The event took place in the theater room of the third floor, Faculty of Humanities, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. There were five representatives from UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung who attended the event, namely Mr. Yudi Krisno Wicaksono as Head of the Library, Mrs. Endang Rifngati, Bu Erma Awalien Mus, Mrs. Laila Rifa'atul Azizah, from Bu Nafahatin Noor.

This activity was attended by more than 80 participants from 45 universities that are members of APPTIS (Association of Islamic Higher Education Libraries) as well as other universities, both state and private universities. This event was held as an annual APPTIS activity as well as being an agenda for the annual national working meeting for APPTIS administrators. Participants at this event were not only those who attended in person/offline, but there are some who follow online via the application zoom meeting.

Resource persons at this event included central structural officials from the Indonesian Ministry of Religion. The opening and welcoming remarks were delivered by the Director of Education and Education, Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, namely Mr. Prof, Dr. Phil. Syahiron Syamsuddin, M.A. He said that libraries in the current Generation Z era must be dynamic and must be able to meet user needs. The importance of cross-service between libraries/interlibrary loans is one way that library needs can be met. He also emphasized that library digitization is an urgent need that must be immediately realized by all State Islamic Religious Universities (PTKIN).

National Seminar Agenda with themes “Competency Development for Librarians at the Ministry of Religion: Improving the Career of Ministry of Religion Librarians in Facing Regulatory Changes”. There are speakers at this event 2 people, The first is Mr. Aziz Hakim as Head of Sub-Directorate for Manpower Directorate. PTKI Directorate General of Islamic Education Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia. In his presentation, he emphasized the importance of increasing the competency and strategic role of librarians in the era of rapid digitalization of information. The second resource person was Mr Yudho Widiatmono, S. Come on. as Coordinator for Development and Socialization of the Functional Positions of the Indonesian National Library. In his presentation, he conveyed the importance of developing competency systematically and continuously so that librarians are able to adapt to changes in regulations and government policies.

Besides that, there is an event call for paper from participants who have written previous scientific papers to be presented at this event. And continued with the PKS signing agenda (Cooperation Agreement) integrated between PTKIN libraries which are members of APPTIS.
