Friday, 14 October 2022, is the last day as well as a moment of separation for 5 (lima) Student majoring in Islamic Library and Information Science (Ipii) UIN ONE Tulungagung. Previously, They have carried out PPM activities (Student Professional Practice) at UPT Library UIN Satu Tulungagung for 1 (One) month, or since 5 September 2022. The five students are Riska Ananda Styowati, Widya Yunita Sari, Anatasya Zummanindia, Linda Yuni Rahayu and Aprilia Damayanti.

While doing it PPM, they are involved in implementing library activities and services, among them namely shelving, help with implementation User Education as library tour guide, provide circulation services, help with reception final assignment, and assist with the collection processing process. Not only that, them also given the opportunity to practice in other areas of library services.

With these PPM activities, Samsul Huda, as the Head of the Library, he would like to express his gratitude for the assistance that has been provided and hopefully it can become a useful learning opportunity for future work. Same with him, Erma Awalien as the tutor librarian also advised us to take the good things and make the bad things a lesson for the future.. "Hopefully (which has been implemented) useful for everyone. Please take the good and throw away the bad, (at a time) "make it a lesson so you can improve in the future," said Erma Awalien.

As for impressions students while carrying out PPM activities at the UPT UIN Sayyid Ali Library Rahmatullah Tulungagung is as follows:

“I really am grateful and this could be an opportunity Outsiders can carry out PPM activities at the UPT UIN SATU TA Library. I am get an experience that I have never had before. An opportunity which is extraordinary when I usually talk a lot about the world of libraries and literacy with all librarians at the UIN SATU TA Library UPT. Thank you very much for the guidance and experience you have shared all this time. God willing, very useful for me who is still in the learning process. I always remember prayer and Advice from everyone, God willing, I will remember and I apply in my life. Then when carrying out activities PPM I made a mistake, I apologize profusely. Hopefully I can be infected with success like all the librarians and staff at UPT UIN SATU TA library.” (Linda Yuni Rahayu)

“Thank you for the new knowledge and insights provided in PPM related to the library sector which is applied through activities practice. For example, accessing subscribed international journals. For practice the most impressive ones relate to circulation and shelving services. On The shelving section can carry out direct practice in returning books according to their shelf classification number. Not only that, in no way I immediately felt what it was like to be part of serving the needs user, even though that is one of my hopes for the future." (Aprilia Damayanti)

“A lot the experience I gained while implementing PPM at the UIN Library Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung. Starting from processing library materials, providing lending services, shelving, to what attitude should be taken when dealing with students who have different characters. These activities can enhance my experience used as an illustration in the world of work. Thanks to the chief UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah library and library staff because you have accepted us to carry out PPM and provide very useful knowledge for us.” (A risk Ananda Styowati)

“During I have gained a lot of knowledge in implementing PPM activities here. Gain valuable experience and also enjoy getting to know people – great people who work wholeheartedly in this library, and willing to help me painstakingly and patiently in every way activity process here. I also apologize if there are words and actions that are not pleasing to Father and Mother, thanks for guidance from ladies and gentlemen who have been willing to accept us as students who are still learning with open arms and thank you for Valuable lessons have been taught, Hopefully in the future we can be better again.
