The National Seminar was held at the Syahida Inn Auditorium, Campus II, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah, Jakarta on 28 s.d. 29 November 2019, with the theme "Libraries and Open Science in Supporting Research in Higher Education” is combined with activities Call for Paper by raising issues around open data and open science, developing digital literacy expertise for librarians, and the role of librarians as research partners.

The series of events on the first day begins with opening at 1:00 p.m 08.50. Speeches were delivered at the opening of the seminar by the Head of the Library and the Chancellor of UIN Jakarta represented by the Deputy Chancellor for Cooperation. In his opening speech, Mr Amrullah Hasbana, MA. as Head of the UIN Library, Syarif Hidayatullah, delivered remarks welcome and thank you to all those who have participated attended the national seminar. On this occasion, Mr Amrullah also conveyed several things related to library development universities in supporting university research.
The second speech was delivered by Prof. Dr. Andi Faisal Bakti, M.A. who is the Deputy Chancellor for Cooperation as well as Professor at the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences, UIN Jakarta. Deep In his speech he conveyed the policies of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta in library development to support university research. College must change the orientation of teaching universities become research universities. In the context of ideality, The library must have a building, facility, rak, computers and technology / IT that meets student needs and researchers both domestic and foreign. Books, indexed journals and of international reputation must also be available and accessible. Libraries too must provide good service excellence, become the role of conduct, friendliness and professionalism. But in the context of reality, infrastructure libraries are inadequate for international universities, content in form hard and soft copies as well as online are still limited, services provided The library is also not optimal. This is our homework together The library's function as a professional research partner is truly realized.
Delivery of material at the National Seminar divided into two sessions:
- Material “Open Data Issues and Open Science in Research Data Management" delivered by Prof. Dr. Roslina Othman from IIUM (International Islamic University Malaysia). In the session he showed how the development open science at IIUM. All lecturers upload all his work, so that the chancellor and his staff can monitor The "power" possessed by the campus. Prof. Dr. Roslina also emphasized that Librarians should not just be data providers, but you also have to play an active role in open science. Librarians must also be active in realizing libraries as a fun and not boring place.
- Material "Open Science in Indonesia: Research Openness Access to Increasing Scientific Impact” delivered by Mrs. Safiratu Khoir, Ph.D., as well as the material "Contribution of Libraries in Building Open Science” which was conveyed by Agus Rifai, Ph.D. In session guided by Mrs. Ulpah Handayani, M. Hum. These are the two presenters collaborate to convey the importance of research, that our ideas should be enjoyed by global society. Research Don't do it under compulsion, However, research must be carried out happily. Knowledge should not be commercialized, but it must be opened, open. How so we are confident to be transparent? the answer is: the process must be correct, according to procedure, from the design process to publication. Funded research people's funds must be returned to the interests of the people. Open science will avoid a lot of research that has not yet been done perfect but already published. Librarians must be agents open science. Librarians are important, not second class. Not a librarian another bookkeeper, but must master everything related to research.
The first day's series of activities ended with panel discussion (call for paper). On occasion that, ada 3 paper presented by 3 panel; Cahyo Trianggoro from WWII LIPI, Muhammad Tawwaf from UIN Suska Riau, and Lolytasari from UIN Jakarta. The activity was moderated by Mrs. Siti Maryam, M. Hum. this is ending with questions and answers by participants and panelists.

The second day's activities started at 08.00 located in the Hall on the VII floor of the UIN Syarif Hidayatulah Library Center, Jakarta. The first session is sharing knowledge between college libraries. On this occasion the participants had the opportunity to share experiences related to library management on their respective campuses. Guided by Mrs. Ulpah Handayani, M. Hum., This sharing session can be maximized with questions and answers.

The second session on the second day is library tour. All participants with guided directly by Mr. Amrullah Hasbana, MA explores seven floors of central library building. On each floor, participants have the opportunity to interact directly with library staff, ask about anything you want to know and observe carefully immediately all the details of the facilities provided by the library center for users.
