User Education is library introduction activities which include service information, means Prasarana, facility, collections and program activities in the library. More clear again, participant User Education explained the rules and policies that must be implemented when visiting the library. Not only that, Participants were also invited to tour (library tour) in the building library, and trained to be able to utilize existing facilities, like: OPAC use (Online Public Access Catalog), book search strategy on the shelf and how to use it selfcheck for circulatory activity (borrowing, extension and return).
Implementation User Education 2022 by the Librarian
This activity was carried out during September 2022 with 5 (lima) sessions every day. Every session followed by 40 – 50 new year students 2022 accompanied by someone librarian. This activity was participated in by 5000 more freshmen undergraduate level (S1) from all study programs at UIN SATU Tulungagung. Meanwhile, for postgraduate level students, it will be held after User Education undergraduate students end.
Through this activity, New students are expected to be able to use and utilize library services to the fullest, independent and responsible. Because, The library is the main information source center that can be accessed freely by students, especially in searching for literature related to their academic needs. “The library is a center for educational activities and scientific activities, So using the library properly and correctly is something we have to do."
