Tulungagung, 29 August 2025 - UPT UIN Library Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung again held a Library User Education event 2025. This activity lasted for two days following the PBAK Faculty event series, namely on the date 27 And 28 August 2025, and followed by students from fluent, FTIK, FUAD, and Febi.

This event aims to introduce students to the various services and facilities available in the library. In his speech, Head of UPT Library, Dr. Yudi Krisno Wicaksono, M.IP., expressed the importance of a good understanding of libraries as a modern and complete source of information.

As the number one most modern library in East Java, The UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Library UPT is equipped with Bibliotheca circulation technology. This technology makes it easier for students to access various book collections and other information sources quickly and efficiently.

The facilities provided in the library are very diverse. On the first floor, there is a locker room, administration room, toilet, as well as lifts and stairs for accessibility. Besides that, Students can also use return and bookdrop services to facilitate the process of borrowing and returning books.

Second floor, which is known as an area “instagrammable”, offers e-resources space, book corner, and discussion areas. Head of the library, collection processing room, and collection development space is also available on this floor, complete with prayer room and toilet.

On the third floor, students can find a general collection room, reading room, OPAQUE, and information services. This facility is designed to provide comfort and convenience in finding the information needed.

Meanwhile, The fourth floor houses the final assignment collection room, general collection room, reference room, and OPAC reservoirs. There is also a multimedia room and library material preservation room, all of which are equipped with toilets and lift access.

Dr. Yudi Krisno Wicaksono encouraged students to actively visit the library and take advantage of all the facilities available. “The library is not just a place to borrow books, but also as a center for learning and discussion,” he said.

With this Library User Education activity, It is hoped that students can become more familiar with and utilize the library as an optimal learning resource. This event is also expected to increase students' interest in reading and involvement in the world of literacy. (*)
